Power Raspberry and Yogurt Smoothie

I have been on a smoothie kick for the past couple of weeks. It’s been my go-to breakfast and some days my lunch as well. It’s super easy to whip up and it packs in a lot of nutrition. One of these for breakfast will keep you full and satisfied until lunchtime!
My smoothie starts with non-fat plain Greek yogurt. It’s low in calories and packed with protein. Three fourths of a cup has 16 grams of good for you protein! It’s also a good source of calcium. Then I add in raspberries which are a great source of fiber as well as vitamin C. Three fourths of a cup has 9 grams of fiber and 60% of your daily vitamin C requirement. I add in a little orange juice to add a little sweetness and of course orange juice is another great source of vitamin C. The final ingredient is probably not what you’d typically think of for a smoothie, but it is such a power food I had to add it….spinach. It’s an excellent source of vitamins A and C as well as iron. I promise that once it’s blended into the smoothie you don’t taste it at all!
Once you blend all of these ingredients together you get a creamy, slightly tart, slightly sweet and fruity meal in a glass!

You can cause homemade smoothies utilizing a
selection of healthy ingredients. That’s right – combining vegatables and fruits, when done efficiently, will
let you get the kids the nutritional supplements they require through the leafy greens they always
leave behind. Other healthy smoothie recipes recipes demands yogurt with fruit, where essentially
you substitute the yogurt for that orange juice.
